A power kite or traction kite is a large kite designed to provide significant pull to the user. There are several different control systems used with these Power Kites which have two to five lines and a bar or handles. Power kites usually range in size from 1.5 to 19m2. All power kites are made for specific purposes: some for water, land, power or manoeuvrability. Power kites also known as power foils are used for harnessing the wind. On a windy day a power kite will pull you 10 feet into the air or whip you along on a kite buggy going 60mph.
